  • Hustlebucks

    Young people at 198 CAL developed their Youth Enterprise ‘HustleBucks’ in 2010. Their idea was to create a social enterprise which provides opportunities and enables them to voice the issues that affect their lives and futures communicated through a youth fashion brand.

  • Minet Library

    Minet Library is in Knatchbull Road and close to Myatt’s Fields park, the Library is in the same building as another Brixton Live Partner – Lambeth Archives, the borough’s record office and local history library.

  • Raw Material

    Raw Material is a specialised education, training and creative production house, in between Stockwell and Brixton.

  • Sixteenfeet Productions

    Sixteenfeet collaborates with writers, musicians and actors to produce new work and tell classic stories in a contemporary and inventive way. We specialise in site-specific theatre, which we perform in unexpected places.

  • Photofusion

    Photofusion has metamorphosed from a small collective of documentary photographers to becoming London’s largest independent photography resource centre, based in Brixton since 1991.

  • Ovalhouse

    In 1963 Ovalhouse marked the beginning of its amazing journey to become “one of the most important centres for pioneer fringe theatre groups” by staging its first drama piece in what had formerly been a philanthropic boys’ club set up by graduates of Christ Church College, Oxford.

  • Brixton Library

    Brixton Library is in the centre of Brixton, next to the Ritzy Cinema. It provides books, music and films for loan, a reference and information service, free use of Wi-Fi, computers for Internet, email and word-processing, and a computer training centre.

  • B3 Media

    B3 makes connections: between Britain’s multicultural communities and its creative industries. We do so by uniting the power of digital media with the creative potential of emerging digital artists, filmmakers, visual artists and sound artists.

  • Independance

    Independance is one of London’s most successful dance centres, specialising in the development of Hip Hop dance.  The priority for Independance is to inspire young women, profiling and promoting their achievements.

  • Kettle Partnership

    Kettle Partnership helps arts and cultural organisations by providing research, strategy and new thinking, applying knowledge and evidence, and developing international links.

  • Lambeth Arts

    Lambeth’s Arts Development service works to support a number of schemes that aim to provide information and advice through networking opportunities and partnerships.

  • Lambeth Archives

    Lambeth Archives is the borough’s record office and local history library.  The Archives Collections cover all aspects of local and family history and there is extensive historical information about Lambeth available.

  • 198 Gallery

    198 Contemporary Arts and Learning is a visual arts space which has helped to nurture the careers of emerging artists, particularly those from culturally diverse backgrounds. We advocate for diversity within the visual arts and provide opportunities for those wishing to develop careers in the creative and cultural industries.

    This had been the motivation for founding 198 in 1988, by initially focusing on the need to provide a platform for Afro-Caribbean artists as part of the Black Arts Movement and, more recently, on projects by artists whose work investigates emerging cultural identities.
